Just got my copy of this new book, "Winchester Model 07 Self Loading .351 Caliber Its Past & Its Future with Modern Brass Bullets & Powders", By Leonard Speckin.
This 106 page book covers three main topics, first the comments of contemporary gun writers and hunters, which are quite interesting. Secondly, there is much information on the reloading of .351 ammo including 200 grain projectiles. There is velocity and accuracy testing which includes new made ammo and original factory ammo. In one test two inch groups were achieved with a scoped rifle, quite repressive. The third topic is that of dis assembly and more importantly reassemble of the Model '07. If you plan on taking the bolt out of your Model '07 I strongly recommend you buy this book or it will end in tears and a drinking problem.
I have got a copy of the late John Henwood's book, 'The Forgotten Winchesters', and would say that this new book is complementary to Mr Henwood's book.
The book costs $30 which includes first class postage in the USA. The author can be contacted as follows:

Many thanks for the heads up. I used to have "The Forgotten Winchesters", but I loaned it to a good friend who passed away and it vanished.
