I wish mine looked as good as that one does...let me know what you need and I can offer to keep my eyes open for the possibility of finding the things you need.

Thank you sir. I had a coworker do some work on a lathe and make me some tools for altering 7.62-39 brass to .401Sl. However i have no reloading tools for it. I have been told that 41mag tools might work? i don't know. I'm trying to borrow a set and try.
It would be interesting to shoot the rifle ;D

Finaly had a chance to shoot the little rascal Only test fire, with my own hand crafted chartridges. 175grains cast and 20grains IMR4227( cycles perfectly) wich makes me think that it might need a new mainspring. Any one know where to find one? or something that might work as a substitute?

Thank you, sir. A friend gave me some .30x39Lapua brass that i altered to .401wsl (way cheap ) Traded for .41mag reloadingtools and bullet mould that works just fine, so far i have only the cost of the licens in this project. Yea i know, i'm cheap but i'm proud of it

Wolff Gunsprings sells recoil springs for the 1907 .351 Winchester. They might be able to hook you up with something for your 1910.

I was talking to a custom spring maker in toronto andI will be getting some made .I sent out the breech block ,rod and old spring for correct fitment today .
I found that if your wsl spring is weak the ejected cases have a nasty rub on the mouth after ejection .As this occured on my 1907 351 and after installing new wolf spring with the same loads the issue was resolved .
The springs are the same construction for all the models ,just different # of coils so the lot I am having made will be for the 1910 length and can be fitted down by removing coils
will see how this works out and will pass on the info when they arrive

brought my 1910 and my model 8 to the gun show in Tyler today where we were set up. my son-in-law carried it around. lots of stares and "what is it" questions. then he carried around my Remington model 8. lots more stares and questions. he had a ball. several "is it for sale" questions. his response was "if you don't know what it is, why are you asking for a price" or " not for sale". he had a ball. funniest part was most of those who recognized it, thought it shot a .351 bullet. when he told them it shot a .401 they responded "where do you find that". then he pulled 10 out of his pocket.

picked up a nice 1910 and also a nice Remington 81 today from an elderly dealer who is moving from texas to California. was wanting to sell off his inventory rather than move it. also picked up another model 8 and a 1907 in internet auctions this week-end. all in all a great week-end as I added 5 rifles to my beginning collection. gonna take a while to catch up with my wife's Winchester 1894 collection though. not even 1/3 of the way there. she reminded me.

well its a year later and I now have my new manufactured 1910 recoil springs .Replaced 2 ,one in my 401 and the other in my 44 auto mag .Test fired both and a noticeable difference .The spent cases are only going aprox 8 feet into a definite spot as before they would go all over the place up to 20 feet + with the same ammo .
Now it is easier to find the spent cases and the rifles seem to be smoother ,but that could be a I have new spring thing .
Also a noticeable increase in thingying pressure and positive closing of the action.
took a little longer to get them made as I wasn't to fussy on paying initial tooling set up of 350 so when they were doing a similar size they did it then .I found they were good to deal with .SO the story ends with me getting 10 new springs for the 1910 that can be fitted down to the 05 and 07 as the need arises
cheers Peter
