Hello Everyone. New to forum. I have just purchased a rem141 in 32 remington. I do not handload,so will have to purchase factory ammo, which seems to be scarce. Any idea where I can get some. Thanks, look forward to replies. Dabbler

Reedsammo.com has the best price on loaded 30 and 32 rem ammo. current price is $22.21 per box of 20. Most likely the head stamps will read 30 rem but they are probably Remington brass. They also have brass for $44/100. You need to get into reloading if you are going to shoot these calibers much.

In addition factory ammo has not been loaded for .32 Rem since the late 60s so what is out there is either loaded by out fits such as Reeds and Buffalo Bore or is "collector" ammo which carries a price that you do not want to shoot.

tbury nailed it, Reeds is great to deal with and one of the few still shipping to us poor Canadians. That is for component brass, not loaded stuff. Get some dies and a press or you will be putting out big money to keep the little piggy fed.

Thanks for the info guys. I checked with reeds, who said they cannot ship to Canada. This seems to be a real problem with us suppliers. I do not plan to use the 141 all that much,so it looks like i will have to bite the bullet and pay to dollar for collector ammo at the gun shows. I shall keep you posted.

You won't find anyone who will ship to Canada loaded ammo as I mentioned. They will ship component reload brass though. If you want to pay more for it, try Ellwoods in Ontario. Shooters Choice gunroom might be able to get it for you too.

Try this one, www.starsandstripesammo.com , they are in Florida and their ad says world wide shipping. Email them and ask , Stars and Stripes Ammo @ Hotmail . com You may get better prices if ordering in volume. They seem expensive but worth it if they ship to canada

They might have gotten their permit renewed I am not sure. Challenge is getting a courier who will haul it across the border and to you. My recent visit to the border gave me a sense they are really clamping down on gun related stuff and can't wait to stop a terrorist with 32 Rem ammo coming across.
If you find one who will export, get all the paperwork in order and be legal to the tee. Depending on which border guard you meet will determine how much fun you will have. Don't ask how I know.
Keep us posted, S&S was insanely expensive when I called them, two or three times Reeds IIRC. There was seven boxes of 32 Rem at the Cow Town show in easter which I just missed out on. I did buy one old box of Dominion for $25. Other tables had the same stuff for $80.

Greetings fellow Canadians. I had the same problem; spoke to Reeds, same response. The folks at Elwood Epps said they normally stock .30 and .32 but were currently out ( a few months ago). They do stock new brass which I picked up fairly reasonably. The dies are the problem. Because they fit in the dreaded obsolete caliber section they cost at least twice as much. I havent bought a set yet...still waiting for a deal on used. I found Epps great to deal with.

Mitch, the only trick I have found to .25 rem brass is keep it trimmed to the right length and do a full length resize. I tried to save the brass by just resizing the necks with my full length resizing die and found that the shoulder needed to be resized for them to chamber in any of my guns. Leave neck sizing to the bolt action guys.

Look, you got an old rifle that shoots weird ammo. You can pay through the nose for it, or for the same price as 2-3 boxes of ammo, you can get into reloading, and roll your own for pennies a piece. Your choice. Reloading isn't exactly rocket science. You can get good deals from time to time on ebay, and you can get reasonable prices from both Grafs (www.grafs.com) or Midway (www.midwayusa.com). With .32 Rem, you can use .30 or .32 brass. They will be more or less identical once you run them through your dies. Any regular .32 caliber rifle bullets will work. Get real reloading data from a manual for .32 Rem or .32 Special (the data is interchangeable), not what somebody has posted online, and you are ready to go. Once you et used to it, you can tailor loads to your particular gun to get the most accuracy out of it. Even if you only shoot a few times a year, the reloading equipment will pay for itself in no time.

The last line, Leave neck sizing to the bolt action guys. is that what they are talking about when they say, just resize the neck and trim? - don't do a full size? (What you were saying you tried and it didn't work?)
