Great bunch! How did you insert the pictures? I finally broke down and read the directions in the 'Test/Technical Forum Questions'. It still took a few minutes to figure it out, but now that I've done it once using Photobucket, future posts should be easy.

They look great!. I have first year in 1907 and 1910 , I love the heavy bast----! No cracked stocks here either,. My 1907 has the metal butt and is quite a bit thicker than my first year 1910? I dont know why , your rubber butt 1907 looks like my 1910 and the other 1907 you have has the thick metal plate. Were these made for police of military with the metal plate? I would like to see some close ups of your swivels on the 1907, I am trying to find the correct one for mine. Thank you Ron

The 07's were popular with law enforcement and criminals in their day. Winchester did make a police model with a bayonet attachment and it had a fixed rear sight. Just because it's not the offical police model in no way means it wasn't used by them. Winchester was aware of the cracking forearms and butstocks so after the war they upgraded to the heavier wood and metal but plate.
I would not be suprised if the swivel is the same as used on the pre64 model 70.
