Anyone know if the buttstock and forearm are the exact same for a 1910 as they are for a 1907. Are they interchangable? What about the metal fore end tip (cap) ??

I don't think the forearm is. Got to make room for that huge hunk of steel.

Thanks blu, I don't have it completely apart. I took the forearm off to check the inside of a full length crack repair, and now I can/t seem to get the operating sleeve in the proper position to put the forearm cap back on. Wish me luck. ;D

I got the fore end of my 1910 off, repaired, and back on with help from Townsend Whelen's 'The American Rifle,' and a tip from rmh. thingy the rifle with the operating sleeve, but don't lock the bolt open by twisting the sleeve. Then unscrew the fore end cap collar. After I acraglased the badly cracked wood back together it was hard to get the back edge of the wood into the alignment groove at the front of the receiver. Chamfering the inside a little with a file got it all fixed.
