Here's a photo, as promised. One of my FN 1900's, serial number 4517. This one has the most wear of my two rifles. The bluing has almost completely worn off the safety lever. It is also a bit worn at the magazine box and at the muzzle, as seen in the picture. Very little rust, and I wouldn't try to remove any of it since this is the original condition. Forend looks repaired in the photo, but this is due to my lousy camera -- it's really just a streak in the wood grain.

It is so good that you found your way to the new board. Thank you for the excellent picture. I am jealous you have TWO FN 1900s. I think they are fascinating firearms and hope one day to own one. Of course I also hope to find more of the Remington Model 8 version to own also! I have one round of ammunition for the FN 1900. It has a nickle plated full metal jacket bullet and I can't remember the head stamp right now but I think it is marked "FN".
