Hi everyone! I am the user formerly known as "A guest from Sweden", who originally registered at thegreatmdl8.proboards79.com. I found some old bookmarks on my hard drive and was saddened to learn that thegreatmdl8-board seemed to have ceased to exist. I found this board, pretty much by chance, through a Google search. I have managed to obtain two FN 1900 self-loading rifles (s/n 4090 and 4517), both in the excellent .35 Remington chambering. It's good to be back, and this time I'll upload some photos too. Regards Daniel

Daniel,
Welcome back. I'm glad you found the new forum. Most of the old gang have found their way here. I'd love to see the photos of your two FN rifles. European "family members" are welcome here. I agree with you, the 35 Remington is an excellent cartridge.

Put up another reply to my post in the Photo Album section, this time regarding some ammo I got with one of the rifles. I'll try to get a better camera/photographer for my other FN 1900. It is near mint condition (s/n 4090), so I 'll have to at least try to get some pictures doing it justice. I recently disassembled the rifle shown in the Photo Album (s/n 4517), and found that the barrel was bulged a few inches back from the muzzle and that the firing pin had become crooked. This means I have one rifle in shootable condition, and one up for restoration. Thank you all for welcoming me, I'll do my best to contribute to this board!
