Over the years of collecting the 1907, I have found many different magazines styles in both the 5 and the 10 round magazines. I have found out about the George Cake company in California that was making magazines, but I have not found his markings on any. I have found one thing about an original magazine, other then the craftsmanship in the magazine itself. The perfectly rounded edges. The perfect fit into the gun and the overall beauty of the magazine. I have found several of the reproductions with very smooth edges and floorplates. However, the one thing I have found on both the 5 and the 10 original magazines is the floorplate is slightly rounded. If you sit it flat on a table, it will not stand. All of the reproductions have the flat floorplate. Has anyone else noticed this? I have included several photos of the magazines in this post and replies. Does anyone know of the other manufacturers of the magazines?

They were made by Winchester of course. The early ones have rounded bottoms while later production ones are flat. All of the originals share 2 things. The follower has a roller bearing and there are usually 3 dimples near the top at the back. Both are works of art and on most the welded seam is impossible to detect.
