Unfortunately, the Cody museum has no records at all for any of the Winchester Self Loaders, as I was unceremoniously informed during a call to them. The "Deluxe" for the most part appears, as limited to those I have seen, to have consisted of little more than checkering and sling swivels, unless you were willing to make the considerable leap to a high grade custom order. Even Madis's book has very little to offer in the way of detail. My 1910 has a forearm (buttstock replaced) that is checkered in a pattern that seems to be fairly common on many models of Winchester, except someone with an affinity for carving, supplemented the checkering with some scroll patterns. It also has a forward swivel on the forend tip that appears to have been manufactured that way. They are undervalued and underappreciated by most people and yet are examples of the early autoloader development that are fascinating. I have been fortunate enough to have aquired an example of each and all are shooters. The one pristine 1910 I had, I decided to let someone else enjoy it and sold it to a gent looking to complete his collection of Self Loaders. The problem with determining if your rifle left the factory as a Deluxe, is that since the wood is such a fragile/high failure item, after a century who can honestly say that they weren't replaced. Other than that, all I can say is welcome to the forum and you will find that there is a great pool of info here.
