I just inherited this what I believe to be a model 8? I think the numbers next to the trigger area are the serial number 1909 can someone tell me if these are the serial numbers and what year it is?

If the serial number is 1909 then the year the gun was shipped was 1906. You can see from your posting below that the serial number for #59 is on the bottom of the receiver next to where the receiver is joined to the barrel. Does your gun have early features, like having 35 Rem engraved on the top of the receiver?

Hello all. Just found your site. I have a Win 1907 and 1910, both of which I hunt white tails with in S.Tx. These are great rifles and are a blast to shoot - just a bit expensive. Look forward to reading future posts.
