I have this 1907, but I have been unable to find any reference to the type of trigger and triggerguard that this one has. Has anyone seen a triggerguard like this or know how many came from the factory this way? Attachments:

I've never seen a trigger guard or trigger like that one on a Winchester Self-Loader. Doesn't look factory to me. Very well don though. Does the rifle have any other unusual markings or features which might give us some clues?

Everything appears to be factory, except for the forend which may have been replaced since it doesn't match the stock. Attachments:

Looks like an interesting modification, extending the triggerguard to allow easier use of the rifle with gloved hands. Both the trigger and triggerguard appear to have been relocated. I haven't seen anything like this either.
The sling studs are also a custom addition- Winchester studs would have been located further towards the butt and were not the clip-type. Otherwise, the buttstock seems to have the factory checkering, factory pistol grip cap, and better quality wood of a deluxe fancy-finish rifle.
I would guess a past owner was a rifleman- paid extra for deluxe wood, had a gunsmith modify the trigger and triggerguard, and mounted swivelling clip-type sling studs for easier use of a sling. Certainly someone that liked the rifle and intended to use it frequently.

Would'nt be interesting if the above rifle was one of the British RFC rifles?
