My 1949 model has a stud in the bottom of fore-end cap and a loop bracket in the bottom of the stock an inch or so from the butt plate. The loop plate has two typical Winchester screws and the plate is inset so I doubt it's an after-market or owner installed. The stud in the fore-end is also very period looking.

Winchester began putting sling swivels on their Models 1907 at about the same time they introduced the steel buttplate. In 1935 they introduced their Police Rifle which had the steel buttplate and sling swivels standard. It also had a beefed up stock, fixed rear sight and a barrel attachment that allowed a bayonet to be mounted. It was not very successful and was withdrawn in 1937. However, the heavy stock, steel buttplate and sling swivels remained and are seen on many of the rifles manufactured subsequent to 1937. The front sling swivel is an integral part of the front barrel band and was not screwed into the handguard.

Hello, I'm a new member and also a new owner of an 07. Rifle I just got is about 80% in finish and look great. The rifle is missing the front swivel. Could anyone take some detailed pictures. I would like to build one, There are none available I can find. Thanks in advance.
