I recently came across a Model 8 sn 12343 . The rifle was in near perfect condition so I grabbed it without even knowing what I was buying until after took it home and looked it up . I paid a fair price for it and was wondering where to get ammo and what are the values of these guns ? Any help with this would be great . I am not sure on how to post pictures on these things so if you need them I can send to email directly .

Yes, very early on in the production of the Remington Model 8 rifle, Remington actually tried to call the .30 Remington cartridge the .30-30 Remington. Which caused worlds of confusion with the .30-30 WCF. They also called their early version of the .25 Remington the .25-35 Remington and you can find early rifles so marked.

Reedsammo.com has 30 rem loaded ammo for the best price I have found. Old west Scrounger also has it. But you really need to hand load if you plan to shoot much more than a box or sol
