Took my new (to me) Remington Model 8 (SN 1184X) out and fired it today for the first time (for me).
I cleaned it thoroughly after acquisition.
Used Winchester 200 grain Power Point.
Every fired case had slightly protruding primers.
Should I be concerned.

I wish I could help you out better. From what I know, protruding primers is a sign of high pressure. Did you gun function properly? If it did, maybe try a different brand of ammo, Remington or Federal perhaps. If the primers protrude with the Remington and/or Federal ammo, you know for sure that it's the gun. What you now know about the gun is a little vague. Being recoil operated, I would think unsafe pressure would manifest itself in a failure of the gun to operate properly. I don't ever want to say that a sign of high pressure like protruding primers might be benign. If we are sure the ammo is "normal" then something in the gun might be causing the "high pressure" symptoms. Trouble is, I can't imagine what that would be.

Seemed to function fine. Fed, fired, ejected. The primers are "barely" protruding (enough to wear fired cases won't go back in a stripper clip - you can feel a slight "bump").
Cases ejected straight up and landed right next to me. Not sure if that's normal ejection pattern for a Model 8.
On AR-15s, I've seen primers blown right out of the cases when the chamber was too tight.
It was nothing like that.

Sounds like you're OK, but I would try a different brand of ammo (Remington or Federal) and see if it does the same thing with that ammo.

Gun could be opening just a hair quick as well although I wouldn't think so with the Winchester. Were the primers at all flattened?
FWIW, excessive headspace and/or pressure might give primer problems but not exactly a "tight" chamber. Chambers on the minimum side of tolerances might increase pressures but they can't generally significantly reduce case capacity and still allow chambering of the case.
Photos would help diagnose the problem more easily. Also, do try other ammo, particularly the Federal 200 gr. load if you can.
