Hello everyone-- I am writing from frigid southern Wisconsin. My Vintage SASR is a Remington Model 81, in .35, mfr in September of 1938. I'm an avid shooter just waiting for warmer weather

Welcome to the Vintage Semi-Auto Sporting Rifle forum! Hope you find interesting stuff here. Warmer weather is on it's way! If you are able, please feel free to post pictures of your Model 81. I know everyone would like to see it.

zanoya,
Welcome to the forum. I'm a fan of Model 81 rifles myself. If things work out, I may have one in 35 Remington, which is my idea of the perfect woods rifle.
I hope the weather gets better up there in Wisconsin. About this time every year, the cold has worn out it's welcome in Tennessee and I'm looking forward to spring.
