I have purchased a 10 round magazine for my 1905 35 cal, it will be shipped and here on the 20th. In looking for a 5 round mag I noticed Numerich has a schematic with a part number of 598230 and it is listed as a 6 round magazine. In order to clear up my search which is correct for Winchester 1905 ( serial number under 1150) 35 cal, a six or five shot magazine?

I believe factory magazines were 5 shot.

Thanks for the reply, that is what I have been searching for but while looking at the 1905 schematic on Numrich they have it listed as a 6 shot. I had thought maybe that is why it is so hard to find a 5 shot mag. The search continues and any mag stamped 35 will be purchased. The 10 round 351 should be here tomorrow maybe Tuesday and then I can load a few rounds and try shooting it.

I believe factory magazines were 5 shot. I saw an 05 on Gunbroker recently that had a facory 10 round mag. First one I ever saw.

You are right. I have never seen very many 10 round mags for 1905, either.
