Howdy Y'all I'm looking at using Magtech 20 gauge full brass hulls. I've looked at the specs and wonder that a 2.5" hull will leave a .5" gap to the chamber lip in the J. Stevens Arms & Tool Co. Model 200 pumps 3" chamber. Will this cause damage to the chamber lip when firing buck, buck and ball, slugs or FLECHETTE HDW loads? Any thoughts? Thanks all Yours in service James Acerra

Howdy, You might carefully trim a Remington STS or Winchester AA hull to exactly 2.5" and cycle it through the action. Lay it on the the cartridge lifter and try chambering it. Then, examine the case mouth for any damage. You may just be better off with standard plastic hulls in the long run. Brass hulls are fine with low pressure loads, but they won't last very long if they can't be resized. You'll need 18-ga card wads for over the powder, too. I reserve my brass hulls for my SxS's.
