Just got this off Gunbroker. It's a November (my birth month)1937 date code. The receiver dates about 1935 (per serial number) It's not perfect, but the price was good. It's slightly newer than the other Mod 11 I posted in the shotgun section as it has the engraved receiver. The wood is solid as a rock, no cracks and all original. Should be a neat one.

The wood looks very nice. Great companion for 8s and 81s.

35Rem,
Your Model 11 looks like a good one. Mine is the 3 shot Sportsman version with a 28" modified barrel, but I really like the gun. Mine isn't perfect either, but is solid, and clean (now). When I got it, it had been in some sort of cloth gun sock for X number of years. The cloth had begun to rot and the bluing was starting to get a slight surface rust. She cleaned up nice though.

Very nice shotgun. Can't beat the nostalgia of the Model 8's and 11's and even the older Auto 5's.
