Nice gun, I recently bought a nice 401 with 38 rounds of kleenbore ammo for $475 and was wondering why these guns aren't more money. I bought my 32wsl a few months ago for $400 and it's nice too! Looks like I've found something to collect thats fun and doesn't cost a fortune. I got my 22 win auto several years ago for $135 thinking it was 22 lr. After I found out what it was I got interested in vintage semi autos. Acouple years later I bought a Remington model 24 at auction. Just knew there was something I liked about it and later found out why. It is a browning pat.

I'm new to the board. My .401 WSL belonged to my wife's step-grandfather, who used it for the Coastal Watch in British Colombia, during WWI. We have a picture of him with the rifle while on patrol. We also have his badge and 6 boxes of Winchester .401ammo, unopened. We have an additional box of twenty that were opened. I have shot the rifle about 100 times. I make my cases from either .35 Rem. or from the Russian round. I shoot a250 grain lead round nose bullet. Fun!!
