Found this article on case reforming for the 32, 35, 351, and 401 Winchester self loading cartridges. I have used his recommendations for forming .401 from 7.62x39. www.realguns.com/archives/160.htmI differ from this article in one aspect- where he states bullet diameter for the .401 Winchester as .408. Now according to several references I have, Winchester manufactured the Model 1910 with groove depths of .4075". If you're using .408" bullets- I would expect to remove lots of leading. Myself, I say stick with .406" and .407" - whatever's available. Anyway, Bob Shell sells his custom reloads at www.aco4u.com/ammo

Thanks yet again rmh, this sort of stuff is gold to me! (Bob's website crashes Firefox everytime I try to access it, I think it's the cheesy music lol!)

Greetings, "rmh"!
Mike your rifles barrel to get your bore/groove dimensions. Personally, I like to shoot cast bullets that are two thousandths over groove diameter, and doesn't 'lead' my barrels to any appreciable degree, if al all, if loads are not too hot. Undersized bullets will tend to lead like hell, no matter how hard they are! Get a couple of reloading books that discuss lead bullet reloading; the Lyman Handbook is a great one!
Be Well!
