Anyone reinstall the hammer spring on the 1907 winchester, figured out the recoil spring, but the hammer spring is driving me nuts. Any help would be appreciated.

Never mind, I was able to make a "reverse turnbuckle" and push everything back into place and then install the pin. New stock and forearm, looks good and It functions and I will test fire it on Monday.

Winchester Model 07 Self-Loading .351 Caliber: Its Past and Its Future with Modern Brass, Bullets and Powders by Leonard Speckin
I have copy of his book. Mr. Speckin did research at the Cody Firearms Museum and found workers had made some special tooling for working on these. They can be a PITA without the tooling. He shows how to make the tooling from easily sourced materials.
