Snagged this fine looking model 14 recently off GI for a fair price I think. Has a mounted (on TOP) Lyman All American Perma Center 2.5X scope with post and crosshair that looks good. My FFL guy felt that the blue and stock was all original finish, bore is excellent. 1931 build. Got it apart and found the usual years of old oils and grease all gunked up in every crevice, did a fairly good job of cleaning all that up. Seems to function correctly, feeds, extracts and ejects ammo. Hope to try it out on Monday.

Had a chance to shoot this today, all I can say is dang! Shoots like a house a fire. The old Lyman scope was right on at 50 yards and using a handload with 170gr Hornady flat nose bullets and IMR3031 I fired 5 4 shot groups, the worst of which was about an inch and a half. The two best groups ran under an inch, one at 3/4"! Cant show targets as my local range is county run and used to pick up targets for us but for some reason wont do it anymore and range was busy when I left so couldnt ask to shut down the range so I could grab targets. But I was impressed with the rifle and the Graf brand brass I got from them recently seems to be working allright. I loaded them up as received, no annealing or anything and besides being extremely clean after firing, they showed no obvious issues, after sizing they look fine and are in the tumbler now. Fun shoot!
