I just bought a 1910. I slugged the bore to find out it measures 0.409-0.410". And I would like to take a chamber casting to find out if I have any more surprises in store. Basically I would like to see what the camber neck and throat sizes are before I stuff a 0.410" bullet in there.
I haven't taken the rifle apart to see if I can access the chamber of the barrel...I need to find or make a spanner wrench to take off the castle nut. But if you take it apart and remove the bolt, can you actually see through the barrel at that point? Or should I just be making a funky curved funnel to fit into the rifle as its assembled?

THAT is a good question. When I got mine, I slugged the bore and replaced the buffers (couldn't find a replacement spring). I never did a chamber cast. Based on the barrel slug, I bought Accurate Mold #41-208L (made for that gun) and it works very well. I cannot remember if there's easy access to the chamber but there's a few videos online that might help. accuratemolds.com/bullet_detail.php?bullet=41-208LI've also bought these heavier bullets and they work well: westernbullet.com/lyman410426.html
