I have just bought a W13 sight for my M1910. I tried folding the stem back and now can't get it back up. Am I doing something wrong? I don't want to use too much force and break it. Any help is appreciated. Charlie

Well, I feel pretty stupid. I have a Marbles tang sight for my .30 Remington 8 and I can not fold it at all. W13 is a Marble sight, isn't it? I have a Lyman (I think) on another Model 8 and it has a little round button right above the pivot point of the tang sight and if you push it in and move it forward it locks the tang sight into position. I can not find anything like that on the Marble.

Yes, the W-13 is the Marble's sight for the Winchester semi-autos (M1910etc.)I soaked it in Kroil and it freed up in an hour. After looking at it with a magnifying glass I could see a lot of very fine dirt at the mating surfaces. The sight works well now. I know these have a coil spring that is difficult to reassemble so I am avoiding taking it apart. I am waiting for a pair of mounting screws to show up. I have yet to fire the M1910. It came with a shallow "V" barrel mounted sight which I don't care for so the tang sight is better for me. Getting back to moving the sight, I am not sure exactly how it folds. There is some sort of lock at the bottom rear of the stem. I'll keep you posted and thanks for the reply. Charlie

Yes, I have new rounds and I reworked some .414DW brass. I have enough to get started and then some. The .401 is easy to hand load and components are available with a little searching. Charlie
