Hello all, I'm a new member here and noticed no one has posted pics of the Model 81's in some time. So here are mine...The first pic is the 81 in 300 Savage, and the second is in .35 Remington. Both have had the stocks refinished, and the .35 Remington has been re-blued. The both seem to get lots of attention at shooting ranges, as only the older guys know what they are. Mechanics are excellent, making them great shooters.

Model 81s are such good looking rifles. Yours especially so. Do you get to shoot them often? If I had a Remington 81 to hunt with I'd have one in .30 Remington with a scope.

I shoot them 4-5 times a year, and have had them both for several years... I would say 500 -600 rounds through each rifle. I reload for both.
