Latest acquisition is a Czech Vz 52/57 semiautomatic rifle in 7.62x39. Many Thanks to V.T., it's a beautiful firearm. Attachments:

Hey hardrada55 I have one in the original cartridge, 7.62X45, which is about 200 FPS faster with the same size bullet. These are great rifles and the self storing easy operating bayonet is a plus since it's a little heavy. I have accrued 390 rounds of surplus ammo and I have 200 rounds of new loaded ammo from Buffaloe bore, they make new brass ammo for this caliber. Also picked up some 6.5 mannlicher schoenaur or 6.5X54. It's easily converted to 7.62X45. Have been looking at the rear site block and it looks very similar to the VZ58 which is the next generation Czech combat infantry rifle, there is a company that makes a scope mount that takes the place of the rear sight. Our rifles look like it would work on ours, so I'm going to call them see if it will. SB

Let me know about the scope mount, I would be interested in temporarily scoping mine.
