I have just received my copy of the above book which has just been published by Gun Show Books.
On page 367 it gives brief details of the H & R Model 360 Ultra self loading rifle which was made from 1965 to 1977.
The book states that the only other major sporting center fire semi auto rifles on the market were the Winchester Model 100 and the Remington Model 742.
I would have thought the Browning BAR would have been available during this time, it was certainly available in the early 1970's. Are there any other models that would have been around at this time?

the BAR , belgian made, was available in 1968 or 1969. i placed an order for a grade II in 338 and got one of the first in the country. i had waited a while and finally my dealer called browning and they took down a display model and sent it on to me.
maybe they mean the only american made semi-autos .
