I picked up some .25 Remington a while back at a local fun show. Today, while examining them, I was surprised to see that one was shorter than the rest, even though it was headstamped "Western" and "25 Rem". Here's the picture I put on the IAA forum. They think what I have is an example of the .22 Niedner Rimless Magnum cartridge, an old wildcat originated by Adolph Niedner. I've always wondered if the .22 Niedner would have been a good chambering for the Remington Model 8.
