Hello all. When I was a little kid my father who collected guns a bit had a piece of a Standard Arms rifle. It was just the pump handle, but that cast brass got my imagination going. I've bought two model Ms in the last few years up here in Canada. Both are 30 Remington. I came across this site while looking for information on them. I see in other threads some members track the serial numbers. Mine are both three number guns, 344 and 609. Both are in pretty nice shape. Lately I was lucky enough to find 5 boxes of Remington 170 grain cartridges. They are on the way and I plan to hunt deer with them this year. I also found 100 new 30 Remington brass as well, so I'm set for a while. They are some cool old rifles. I hope to find a nice G sometime.
