I got one a couple of years back - just the slickest carbine out there in 38-40. Saw another one recently and had to have it too. Do I really need two of these, especially in duplicate 38-40 cal? I think I do. They're too darn cool. Going to receive it in a week or so but here's a photo from the seller. i cannot wait!! Thanks for looking.

Here it is - newest addition - beautiful and rare with another one (slightly older rarity) below. Stock except for added front sight and Marbles tang sight. I will try to take them out soon. Feel pretty lucky to have been able to afford two of these

Your picture illustrates something that has bothered me about 14s and that's the hump back stock on the rifle on the bottom. Is that something that is a visual anomaly or is that really a variation in the way the stock is made. I much prefer the stock on the top gun. But I'm interested in the hump back type stock too. Any info on this?

I always assumed that the bottom stock was modified by a previous owner? I've never seen another model 14 with this stock.
