Hi, I just bought two rem 81,s and I would now like to find one that has had a lot of inlay work done on it. One of the two that I already bought is rather plain except foe the stock and forarm.Back in 1941 someone who owned the gun carved so much that now it is a peice of folk art. Brad

I, too, have a Model 81 which was beautifully carved back in the 40s. Might be for sale if anyone is interested. Ser No. 7735

I am interested in the model 81(or model 8 for that matter). What caliber is it?

.35 Rem. Made December 1938 and in very nice condition. The carving was by an unknown artist named James V Zarro but its beautiful. If interested, give me an email address to forward photos.
