Most of us know that story of the demise of Standard Arms Co. due to undercapitalization and the rush to market with an undertested semi-auto rifle. It is interesting how history repeats itself. I have posted a photo and a little information about the repeat "offender" in the "Pistols We Like" forum. Take a look.

I currently have 22 of these guns. In an earlier post, someone wanted to know if there was anyway to tell if one of these was assembled. Over the years I have noticed that some guns do nothave matching serial numbers. Since these guns were never in an arsenal it would be logical to think that the unmatching ones were assembled.

Of which gun do you have 22? 22 of the Auto Mag pistols or 22 of the Standard Arms rifles? I would really be interested in seeing and hearing about a collection of 22 Standard Arms rifles!

I have 22 Standard Arms Rifles, I have the 25, 30 and 35 calibre guns in both the model M & G. I do not have any engraved guns. I have both types of combo tools. A very close friend of mine has a 50 calibre camp gun withserial number 25. I have deen in contact with another local collector that allegedly has 60 standards including an experimental. He holds the the rights to the name Standard Arms of Wilmington, DE and has stated that he has the original production records. According to him they produced 3740 complete guns but had inventory to assemble almost double that. I look forward to talking with you.
