Just got back from the Midland gunshow. They had a pretty decent Model 8 there, 35 caliber, serial number 58538 with barrel code WW (August, 1928). Nice dark original blue and relatively unmarred stock. Some freckling of the blue on the receiver. I'll go 90% to 95% condition, some would grade it higher. Not quite as nice as my nice 1933 gun. Late type safety lever (the one with the screw in the middle). No extra holes. $550. A likely looking Model 8.
Also saw two Model 1907 Winchesters. One with a badly cracked forearms for $299 and the other with a forearm which was not cracked for $350. Not bad looking guns. Lots of blue, didn't look re-blued. I've seen (and bought) worse looking 351s. A lot worse. Same guy also had a 1905 in .32 WSL for $550. Nice looking gun but I couldn't tell for the life of me why it was worth $200 more than the .351.
Saw one tattered Western bullseye box of .351, full, for $50. Some other guy was looking for .351 for a recently purchased 07. I noticed they were eventually sold and I hope he got them.
Saw a really nice Winchester Model 1911 12 gauge "widow-maker" shotgun for $1000.00 and a re-blued 1940 date Mauser luger for $995. Nambu with 18 8 date with mismatched magazine for $795. Argie Sistema Colt for $1450. Yeah........right.
I bought a little ammo. A box of primed brass for .30 Remington. I need to start going to these things with some money in my pocket.
