Man was it crowded!!!!, The ammunition vendor was out of almost everything by noon on Saturday. A gent had a model 81 in 300 savage which had a tag on it saying it was a police special, I asked him why he thought it was a police special and he said it was because it had a removable magazine. It did have a kreiger magazine conversion but a police special it wasn't. The rifle had been reblued and a crummy shotgun pad added to the butt as well as the forend being carved to a Schnabel, He said the barrel was fair to good which it might have been if I could have seen through it. Anyway he wanted $420 for it and I had decided the most I would go was $350 we couldn't reach an agreement on it so I passed which is probably just as well. I went back out to the show on Sunday which was much less crowded, I looked at the 81 again but the seller was still set on his price so he still has it. I'm still in shock over the feeding frenzy at the show, People were paying outrageous prices for about anything that would shoot. When I went into the show at 9:30 I stood in a 100 yard long line to get in when I came out at 12:30 there was still a 100 yard long line waiting to get in. 14delta

Most of the dealers around here are low on ammo and are having a hard time keeping "black" rifles in stock. On the other hand Gun Broker prices seem to be down for a lot of guns.

Black guns did seem to be the hot ticket, You could hardly get past the tables that had modern semi auto rifles or accessories for them. I was glad it wasn't as crowded on Sunday I did manage to find a few smaller items I needed, There was just no way to really scan tables on Saturday. At least it was still fun to go to. 14delta
