not sure where to put this
was working on WSL 1911 shot gun today and replacing the recoil spring on it with a new one . As I mentioned before I had some custom springs made up for the 1910 WSL 401 and had a long wait to have it done anyways to today! Before I assembled the 1911 s/g today I decided to compare the springs with the rifle springs ,,Well it is the same wire diameter ,OD,ID but different lengths ,Appears Johnson kept the springs simple and used the same spring and used different # of coils for different firearms . Wish I worked on the s/g first to have learned this years ago
hope this helps others out 1905 and 1907 =53 coils 1910 =63 coils 1911 S/G is 83 coils
Wolfe makes the S/G spring ...Item # 16370 and it can be cut to proper length with ease
You are all welcome
Cheers Peter

ordered up 2 more of the 16370 and some for the 1907 from Wolfe . Cut one down for a 1905 and works as expected on the 35wsl Cut another for a first year 1910 and works as it should So in conclusion there are new springs available for the 1910 and just cut to fit and crimp to end coil
