Hey guys real new at this. But am trying. I've had a few model 8s and 81s in the past, but yesterday I came across a Police Gun Sheriff Dept. Los Angeles Count At a pawn shop here south of Ft. Worth, Tx. But it had no magazine. It's no. 75 and my book says it was made in June of '42. Where would I search for a mag. Thanks, Poppy.

Those things are usually pretty expensive even without the magazines. And the magazines themselves are expensive. If you buy the gun, put the word out here on this board and talk to the knowledgeable collectors. Search on the gun auction sites. You're probably going to have to dedicate quite a bit of time and money to put together a Peace Office Equipment Company rifle. Best of luck.

So the search begins. If in any of your travels or conversations You hear or run across a 10 or15 round Police Gun mag for an 81,please respond! I realize the rarity of the piece and chance of obtaining finding it, but this gun deserves being brought back to life again as a complete firearm! And I own two others a. 25 cal.(1915) and a .30 cal.(1931). It would be a great [if not the greatest] rifle a common guy like me could hope to have, and hand down to my son for his 10 year old one day! Again thanks for any and all help! The poppy
