I have many 1907 magazines some rounded, some flat on the bottom. Which are the older ones and why was this change made.

from the rifles I have the flat bottom ones with the thin markings appear in the heavy wood models made in the 50s.I am not sure if the mag with the flat bottom is a jobber type replacement or just a change winchester made as they are identical in every aspect but the flat bottom and thin markings .Have not seen a flat bottom unmarked

I have a replacement Magazine from Triple K that has a flat bottom. My original Mag is the rounded bottom kind made in the 1930s.

The round bottoms mags. are older and more desirable. The change was made to save $$.
